PCB decontamination waste is PCB-containing waste from your spill, release or other unauthorized disposal associated with PCBs, depending on the concentration due to the PCB source, the release period, the current target concentration of PCBs in the materials and whether this original source is intended for license use. What Are The Options For Artificial Cleaning And Disposal Of PCB Decontamination Waste?
PCB Regulations contain three options for recovery functionsI have a spent PCB. They are easy to find in 40 CFR 761.

What is the EPA standard for acceptable PCB levels?
EPA requires PCB spills or accidental releases of 1 pound or more to the environment to be reported to the EPA [ATSDR 2000]. The FDA prescribes tolerances of 0.2 to 3.0 ppm PCBs for all foods, with a new ppm limit for fish. The FDA also limits the PCB content in paper food packaging to 10 ppm [FDA 1996c].
The self-executing option removes the levels of hyperlinks with the expected prices for the use of an area or building in which contaminated materials are present.
Are PCBs regulated under RCRA?
In California, PCBs are regulated by state and federal regulations under the Conservation Act Resource Recovery (RCRA) and the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
For the selection of porous surfaces, the SOP, referenced below, describes how you can try hard as well as porous and soft surfaces:

- Results Based Disposal (40 CFR Aspect 761.61 (b))
- Dispose of contaminated and non-liquid materials in a chemical landfill in accordance with the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)
- Dispose of toxic and non-liquid materials in the TSCA incinerator,
- Dispose of contaminated and non-liquid material using a TSCA approved alternative disposal method
- Disinfect contaminated non-liquid items using TSCA regulated decontamination procedures, or
- Dispose of hazardous and non-liquid materials at a TSCA licensed facility.
Section 761.61 (b) does indeed deal with waste disposal of PCBs. EPA Notice and is not an endorsement under this option. However, it is recommended that everyone contact their Regional PCB Coordinator with any questions. The premises must comply with all the rules for events, transportation and storage, which may be required. Performance-based discreteness can be used for websites of any size.
If someone were to be properly disposed of under section 761.61 (b) but> 1 ppm material remained on site, they would still fulfill TSCA’s obligations to those who hold the materials.
- Hazardous Cleaning and (40 CFR 761.61 (c) Disposal Statement)
An option based on risk assessment allows obtaining permission for sampling, cleaning or alternative disposal of PCB decontamination waste for a specific facility in a way other than completely autonomous or based on disposal option.
This program requires EPA approval based on their determination that the proposal does not pose an unreasonable risk of harm to health or the environment in the marketplace.

How are PCBs cleaned up?
Large areas of clothing contaminated with PCBs should be treated, leveled or disposed of in a landfill. One way to dispose of large volumes of PCB wastes is through a soil leaching process in which PCBs are removed from the soil without any other negative soil properties.
